Born ‘Opute Samuel Ememjonem‘, Frozy is a multi-talented recording artist from Nigeria who has a long list of accomplishments.
He was raised in Lagos, Nigeria, but was born in Delta State. He is well-known for his soft, yet incredibly expressive croon. Frozy’s sound combines soul and afrobeats, using meaningful lyrics to express his emotions and diverse life experiences.
Frozy has been dubbed “Kvngs Empire’s finest vocalist” due to his silky voice, which is the main component of his calming style.
Frozy gained a number of followers/listeners worldwide after releasing his stunning extended play, “Frozynol” in 2022. The play had four songs, the two most streamed of which were “Bad Boy” and “Balance it.” More recently, Frozy released a single dubbed “Feel Am” as a follow-up to his debut project.
On October 17, 1997, Frozy, the second male child of Mr. and Mrs. Opute, was born into a family of two. He was raised by both of his parents until his father passed away in 2007, leaving him and his older brother in the loving care of their praying mothers.
Frozy studied at Hillcrest College in Lagos State and graduated from the University of Jos in Jos, Plateau State. He draws inspiration from artists such as Bob Marley and Fela Kuti, who is the pioneer of afrobeats.
